A sample is a piece of an existing recording reused inside a new song: a drum break, a vocal line, a horn stab, a whole hook. Hip-hop was built on it, and pop, R&B and electronic music borrow constantly. In SAMPLE SAMPLE SAMPLE you hear the original record and guess the song that sampled it.

A new sample drops at midnight in your own timezone. You get five guesses. Your first miss unlocks a hint, and a second spot on the record when the round has one; some rounds carry a second hint that opens on the third miss. Everyone on Earth gets the same puzzle number that day, so scores compare and streaks count.

Two to ten players share one phone. Each turn you spin a sample from the beginner, intermediate or expert crate, worth 1, 2 or 3 points, and type one answer. Miss, and the phone passes for a steal. First to 11, 15 or 21 takes the crown, with a speed round to settle ties.
